DJ Irie

DJ IRIE - IRIERADIO EPISODE #79 (THE CLASS OF '79)
DJ Irie: What's up World! For this week's episode I went all the way back to 1979. An era where the line between disco and rap was thin, MC's rapped 200 bars with no choruses and nobody stopped till the break a dawn. Of course you'll hear Rapper's Delight (actually 3 different versions, including a Brazilian one), Spoonie Gee, Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow and more. To balance everything out, I included some funk tunes from 1979 as well. Enjoy!
Listen to IrieRadio live every Saturday 11 AM EST time or 5 PM CET on the American web-station Fresh Radio.
